Khmer Art Overseas:
After posting some of the Khmer antiquities for sale online with 1st Dibs, I tracked down one of their network of sellers called the Lotus Gallery, who operate out of Austin, Texas in the United States. Francisca Tung started Lotus Gallery in 2001, with a focus on Asian art and antiques and include the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Rubin Museum, and the Heritage Museum of Asian Art, among their clients. These are the best of the Khmer artifacts they are currently selling online – with the usual proviso that it’s impossible to determine if the artworks are original and authentic or modern reproductions.
