Khmer Art Overseas: I must admit to being able to find out very little about any Khmer Art currently residing in Taiwan. I've previously posted just four pieces to be found at the National Palace Museum in Taipei and that's all. So this poster and a few exhibits perked my interest when I spotted them online today. It looks like its an exhibition of Buddha in Southeast Asia, put on by the Kuo Mu Sheng Foundation at the The Historical Grand Courtyard on Heping East Road in the city of Taipei, the economic, political, and cultural center of Taiwan, from 7 June until 31 July. If anyone in Taipei or Taiwan can offer up more information with additional photos - please let me know. The pieces on show include an impressive head of Avalokiteshvara, a kneeling male deity, a pediment of Lokeshvara, Ganesha and a Radiating Lokeshvara, as far as I can tell. Where they are from, whether they are authentic, etc, etc is unknown.
